Summer is fast approaching which means many travel operators are now offering competitive holiday deals for the April and May 2023 season. If you’re yet to book a holiday away or are simply want to take an early summer break this year then our guide below will help you decide where to go.

We’ve scoured the best deals with Jet2, On the Beach and Travel Supermarket to find you the locations that offer the cheapest deals for the months of April and May 2023 – scroll down for more.
Majorca is one of Spain’s Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean and is a popular beach resort among Brits. It’s known for its sandy beaches, sheltered coves, limestone mountains and Roman remains.
The capital, Palma, has nightlight while there’s history to be found at the Moorish Almudaina royal palace and 13th-century Santa María Cathedral. Stone-built villages include Pollença, with its art galleries and music festival, and hillside Fornalutx, surrounded by citrus plantations.
There’s something to suit all tastes here, whether it’s the party scene in Magaluf, a family vacation at Paguera or a ‘in the heart of everything at Palma Nova.’ In April and May time the temperature reaches highs of 19C and 22C but it has been known to even reach a maximum of 29C.
Jet2 has a range of deals flying from Leeds Bradford Airport to Majorca for April and May time. If you’re wanting a hotel that has a bit of everything then this island beach club in Magaluf is £434pp, flying out on April 24th.
It’s an all-inclusive deal with return flights from Leeds Bradford, 22kg hold luggage and 10kg hand luggage. It also includes coach transfers and is ATOL protected.
Or there’s this family favourite at the Fergus Club Europa in Paguera. The family-focused Fergus Club Europa is a village-style complex situated in a pine forest area near to the cosmopolitan resort of Paguera.
On site travellers will find a splash park and waterslides, alongside an all inclusive offering for all the family. This Jet2 deal from Leeds Bradford will cost you £476pp for April 24 for seven nights, all inclusive.
Surprisingly, the prices drop for May time, especially around the May 9 mark, that might because some holiday companies are still hiking up the prices for the Easter break in April, despite Easter falling in early April this year.
The same Island Beach Club resort mentioned above, in Magaluf is £402, instead of £434pp.
Rhodes in Greece boasts 300 days of sunshine a year and the best months to travel to the island are from May to the end September. The island is the largest of Greece’s Dodecanese islands and it’s known for its beach resorts, ancient ruins and remnants of its occupation by the Knights of St John during the Crusades.
The city of Rhodes has an Old Town featuring the medieval Street of the Knights and the castle-like Palace of the Grand Masters. Some of the top sites in Rhodes is the Lindos Acropolis, the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, Kastello, the Valley of the Butterflies and more.
Temperatures in Rhodes in April reach highs of 20C, while in May they can reach highs of 25c so plenty warm enough to enjoy a relax on the beach or explore in the historic Old Town.

For May travellers can spend £359.50pp for the Royal Aparthotel in the city centre of Rhodes. Located on a quiet street in the heart of the town, the Royal Aparthotel offers comfortable accommodation just 600m from the beach.
All apartments benefit from self catering facilities, however guests will also find themselves within easy walking distance of local shops, bar and restaurants. This deal is for seven nights on May 4, 2023.
For those looking for all inclusive deals, there’s this deal for £531pp at the Castellum Suites. The Castellum Suites offer four-star accommodation in a peaceful area of Rhodes Town. The hotel features a swimming pool and offers seasonal evening entertainment, as well as meals throughout the day. A perfect pick for couples or families wanting a chic stay in Rhodes.
For more of a last minute deal, departing on April 24 from Leeds Bradford Airport, On The Beach has the Trianta Hotel Apartments for £494pp. This self-catering deal includes one small cabin bag but transfers and hold bags are not. Trianta Hotel Apartments features a pool with a separate children’s section, surrounded by a sun terrace and well-tended garden. Located 800 metres from Lalysos Beach in Rhodes, it offers self-catered accommodation and free Wi-Fi throughout.

Amsterdam is one of the most popular destinations in Europe thanks to the fact that it’s brimming with culture, nightlife, world-class museums and historical gems. If you fancy a city break for April or May then this destination should be a contender.
Amsterdam is the Netherlands’ capital, known for its artistic heritage, elaborate canal system and narrow houses with gabled facades, legacies of the city’s 17th-century Golden Age. Its Museum District houses the Van Gogh Museum, works by Rembrandt and Vermeer at the Rijksmuseum, and modern art at the Stedelijk.
Temperatures in April reach highs of 13 but it offers visitors the chance to see the capital when it’s not raining. April enjoy relatively rain-free weather, and mild crowds. Meanwhile, in May has highs of 17C and still enjoys not too large crowds.
We’ve found a range of city breaks with TUI flying from Leeds Bradford Airport. The cheapest deal we have found for April 18 for seven nights is this Leonardo Hotel at £1,060pp, that’s for the room only too, so it’s pretty pricey but it does inlcude transfers and direct flights, as well an already £92pp discount.
If that’s still out of your budget then TUI also has this deal for £639pp if you are willing to make your break a short one, on April 12. It’s at the Fletcher Hotel which has been given three and a half stars on Trip Advisor. The futuristic four-star Fletcher Hotel Amsterdam is located on the A2 and A9 and features a culinary SKYrestaurant Pi and cozy SKYlounge Pi on the 17th and 18th floors of the hotel with a beautiful view over the city. The luxurious hotel rooms are equipped with comfortable twin beds and a round glass shower which is located in the middle of the room.
Meanwhile, TUI also has a deal on the Olympic Hotel in Amsterdam for £643pp, which already includes a £56pp online discount. Departing from Leeds on April 9, this three night deal includes transfers but is for the room only.
In May, TUI has this Amadi Panorama Hotel, which has been given a four-star rating, for £555pp. Travellers can also save an extra £50 on this city break using code ZXKLC87D3. Amadi Panorama Hotel is a luxe four-star hotel with 67 spacious rooms and a great view.
The hotel offers single up to quadruple rooms, family rooms, bridal suites, and disabled rooms. All rooms are equipped with a luxurious bathroom which includes an environmentally friendly rain and hand shower, hairdryer, and a shaving mirror.

Crete is the largest of the Greek islands, and is popular with Brits thanks to its mild weather, pristine beaches and great food and wine offerings. There’s also hundreds of ancient sites, breath-taking landscapes and hiking paths and wild nightlife.
In the month of April, temperatures in Crete reach a high of 21C but can dip to 12C in the evenings, so it’s a good idea to bring along a jumper or light jacket for the evenings. For the month of May, temperatures reach a maximum of 25C.

Breakfast options start from £447pp at the Infinity Blue Boutique Hotel and Spa for the same date, while half-board prices are not that much different, £450pp for the Grand Hotel Holiday Resort in Stalis, Crete.
